Salute
AFAIK, Canadian companies cannot do the outsourced repairs that US companies are doing. I for one, am glad of that, because I don't personally trust mechanics in places like China or India, where corruption and levels of training are lower than N America.

Well LN, here in Atlanta we adhere to different standards when it comes to landings! My first reaction when I saw this: "Crap, I fly out of Hartsfield twice a week". Second reaction: " Well, I have taken off or landed on a taxiway too many times to count in my career with RAF74". Obviously, I hope for my own safety and that of other travellers that this doesn't happen again...
Funny thing IMO is the overflight (of 150 miles) by the NWA flight to Minneapolis this week overshadowed the aforementioned screwup. Landing on a taxiway is MUCH more serious. Good thing it happened in the middle of the night.

Boeing’s Dan Wells, one of three test pilots flying the X-48B, told Wired.com. “It still requires precision flying; you just don’t have those motion cues. You still feel like you worked hard when you fly it.”
An interesting perspective -- similar to our IL2 exploits I imagine.
