This should mean that TRACK IR4 will likely go on sale in a short while at reduced prices.

For those of you who don't have TRACK IR, it is a head tracking device which definitely improves your situational awareness in a flight Sim.

I'm a bit disappointed really. I was hoping for a version using solid state gyros attached to a headset, and getting rid of the camera altogether.

I am currently using Freetrack. While its cool. its a little frustrating to use at time. I need to learn a better way to power the unit I have.

I might look into TrackIR down the line.

The trackir 5.0 software version is out and available to download for free and works with track ir 4. If you have track ir 4 pro you can get the new version and use that 3d head thing. If you have trackir 3 with vector you will have to wait for the version 5.1 to be relesed.
