I always liked FLASHPOINT, because it was a realism based FPS, that didn't allow you to go grab a health pack or soak up lots of bullets with no effect. If you were shot, you were in a world of hurt...

I like ofp and never ended up getting arma after but I remember it being a little dead during multiplayer games since its so big and only had like 10 guys online. I wish they would make it a mmo game I know I would pay monthly for that. I have tryed wwii online but the graphics suck. Mabe some day they will make what I want.

Ok - for just fun, my sons talked me into buying "left 4 dead".

Basically you are a 1 of 4 people left in a world of zombies, and your trying to get to some checkpoint so you can be rescued.

So you have pistols, shotguns, sub machine guns, assault rifles and on occassions chain guns.

And you just blow these zombies away. For mindless fun it is far superior to sitting with the +1 watching oprah.

Here is the intro movie which is pretty much what it is like. Good fun and i recommend it highly for plain blow away the bad guys fun.

P.S arma 2 looked pretty good in the track ir demo buzz

I have been looking at some videos of that and it looks fun. I think I might buy it for the multiplayer coop thing.

Well, since you've got a brand new Computer, you might as well try it out....

I've heard that Crysis has pretty state of the art graphics if you want some eye candy.

By the way, speaking of Eye Candy, the 1.1 version of the IL-2 mods has the new maps with the wonderful new terrain and cloud modelling.

You should really download 1.1, (plus the patch for it) to get those terrific new graphics.

You are also going to need those new maps to participate in wars or fly online, since more and more servers and wars are using them. ;)

I ended up getting that game. It can get fustrating getting shot all the time in other fps games but in this one it is satisfying killing hundreds of zombies. I tried the versus mode and its fun getting able to sneek up as one of the special zombies to take out the other survivors. Not much to the game but it is fun.

Buzz, If you like realism you should try Project Reality. It is a Mod for BF2: Modern combat. I am pretty sure it won mod of the year last year.

Everyone, My new PC should be arriving within two weeks and Ill be getting Empire Total war and Crysis. I am open for suggestions if anyone wants to do any other type of PC gaming with me.
