If Taipan or Loyal looks at this, they will understand why the P-47 ended up dead.

#1 It is pulling up into a zoom. Not a good thing to do unless you are carrying 50+ kph more speed than the 109, see my post in training re. defensive maneuvers.

#2 The P-47 is pulling so hard it is showing wingtip vortices, an indication it is far from being at optimum turn speed. No aircraft should show wingtip vortices if it is turning at optimum turn speed.

#3 Anytime a pilot sees tracers going past their wings, they should IMMEDIATELY break their existing maneuver and enter another. If someone can put tracer past your wings, they have enough lead to shoot your wings OFF. In this case, the P-47 should have either rolled onto its back and pulled down into a right or left diving turn or if the situation was desperate, the pilot could have deliberately pulled the aircraft into a spin by yanking back on the stick and flooring the right or left rudder pedal.
