Just a quick hidey ho..

Greetings. Just wanted to pop my head in here as I'm a potential new recruit. I know a lot of you from the VEF days of old. I've patched all the way through to 4.09m, and installed the ultrapack1.8 so I should be ready to go. I've had issues connecting to the ts2 server mentioned in the newbie guide; but hopefully someone can square me away on that via hyperlobby (which I've also upgraded). I'm a little rusty, but obviously I know my way around online flying and il2 in particular. I look forward to flying with you all. I hope to make it to tomorrow's for fun flying? Can someone please confirm the time in east coast format?

Thanks. Oh and sorry for putting the RAF74 uniform on in my forum user name. Feel free to edit that if you wish until I'm fully initiated and accepted. I had not read the guide before registering.

Right on Murdock!! Welcome to the fray. ThIs is odd I just made an A-Team reference in an earlier post and now "Maddog Murdock" shows up... Plus I just saw MrT on a World of Warcraft commercial as I type this.

I did have one other question. Do you all do any casual (a.k.a. for fun) flying in Rise Of Flight? I do not own it yet, as I'm waiting to upgrade to an ati 5770 right after xmas.

As to Forgotten Skies, I'd like to get a month under my belt flying and getting used to your comms / flight methods and such before taking part in that online war. I figure you all have a similar notion ; but figured I'd mention it.

Murdock, tonight (Thursday) is our squad fun fly night. Hopefully there will be a few guys on so you can link up with them and get a feel for how we do things. If not, you are always free to post that you are online and looking for someone to fly with - often there will be someone around.

Had fun on the maiden flights. I'll check for you over the coming week at the appointed times you mentioned. At the very least, I'll see you all again next Thu night for fun night.
