My computer started doing something odd as of yesterday. When I first turn it on, it spins up normally for a second, then stops - the light on the power button goes out - then, after another second or two, it continues its normal start-up sequence without incident. Once it's running everything seems perfectly normal. Any thoughts as to what sort of poltergeist might be inhabiting my machine?
