Hello Everyone!

It's good to see so many familiar names are still around!! I thought I'd drop by and let everyone know some of the things going on in this old pilot's life..

My girlfriend of the past three years and I called it quits. I'm currently dating several women - nobody seriously yet though. I'm not very fond of casual dating, so I hope to have an honest-to-god girlfriend eventually, but I'm also somewhat picky and right now casual dating is a necessary evil. One girl I met I kind of like so we'll see where that goes ;).

I think the last time I dropped by I was just enrolling for an MBA at the University of Michigan. I'm now a bit more than half way done. I have to take two classes at a time though and some of my classes are offered through a partnership with Kettering (these are the Lean Manufacturing classes for my emphasis in lean manufacturing), causing some scheduling problems. I'll have three terms off over the next year, delaying my graduation but giving me some much needed rest from school - and maybe a bit of sporadic flying time if I can ever get my plane out of the hanger. Forgotten Skies? Is that the new game? Is that a mod for something in the IL2 line? Or has a WWI sim finally come out so I can stop missing my good old Sopwith Pup?

I don't know if I had a dog the last time I was around. I thik Bandit had recently died. Well - it's been a while and now I have a new dog. I've attached a picture of Cody (I hope I attached it correctly - it should be at the bottom of this post).

As I get older I'm starting to have things that resemble actual health problems. I had to wear a holder monitor (monitors the heart for 24 hours) last year after my yearly physical showed and irregular heart beat. This year they made me wear it again and they found that my heart also skips beats sometimes. I have a heart rate of 46, which is pretty low, so when my heart skips a beat it goes about two and a half seconds between beats. I can actually feel it happen. My doctor says it's probably nothing serious but he's sending me to a heart doctor just to be safe. I'm sure it's nothing too, but it's proof that I'm starting to get older...

I guess that's it for the update.. I hope everyone is having fun!

Good to see you Wally! Fine looking dog....noticed the kong on the table..hehehe. Sorry to hear about the health problems...Dr. is prolly right. Prolly nothing to worry about. They may want to put in a demand pacemaker. Have they mentioned that to you? We look forward to have you fly with us again.

Foregotten Skies is the latest IL2..Well, actually it's IL2 1946...Prolly get the DVD pretty cheap now. When your ready, we can get you up to speed with the patches and required mods. Stop by more often...Us old guys are pretty out numbered anymore..lol

Take care Buddy..

Good to see you again, mate! We missed seeing you around the officer's mess. As Drum said you can pick up IL-2 1946 very cheap and they even have a download version that's run through Steam. We are at the point where RB was towards the end of its life: third party patches pretty much dominate the scene. The modders have done wonderful work: you now get AI and moving targets on Dog Fight servers and they have even created the jets from the Korean War. Definitely worth the $10-20 investment :)

Things are going well with the squad. We are very organized these days and typically get 5-8 guys flying during war events. Drop us a line when you are ready and we'll help you get set up.

Also, PM me your email address.
