Yep, lots of info there.
This game is going to be a huge leap forward.
Photo-realistic graphics, humans in the game, it will be an incredible Sim.
Salute Chaps,
The long-awaited SimHQ interview is here. Late 2010 apparently, don't upgrade yet!

Salute Buzz,
I notice there was no mention of dynamic weather in the interview. I hope that hasn't fallen by the wayside, it could be a very interesting and useful part of online war planning and tactics.

Sounds like another year and a half to wait till it comes out. Reading the interviews from Oleg is a bit fustrating. I want to see more and read more but he is being stingy with the info. In the last however many months its been since the last screen shots you couldent post more than 9 of witch I am pritty sure I have seen some before not to mention the one thats from a compleatly diffrent game. I get that the sow engine is more complex just tell me whats new please.
S! Chaps,
Not really related to SOW, but here is further evidence that Oleg is alive and kicking.

not sure if any of you guys play FlightSimX but they are all over incorperating real time and dynamic weather. That technology is years old already and works smooth as can be. That, in my opinion will be the one big issue that has the potential to make it a monumental leap forward in the COMBAT flight sim genre. Weather was and is such a big part of flying it will be just awesome. FlightSimX is so much fun when you can fly in real time weather and wind

Thanks for sharing, Winger. Don't think I'm going to make it until late '10 before upgrading but with any luck I might last into the spring...
Snake, I have the same reaction when I read his interviews. I think it is a combination of not wanting to overcommit and a desire to perpetually whet our appetites without telling us about all the goodies. Probably more the laterStill, I find I have to read behind the lines a lot with him...

For a second there I thought this was a new post about the interview that was supposed to come out on simhq a few days ago. When I got to the end and had a response I thought to my self I didnt post anything here yet. I Forgot about this post. My guess is he may not want to hurt the sales of the console game so he is waiting to post anything about sow till after the relese of bop.
Loyalnine If you like FSX get this book http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Flig.../dp/0764588222 and at $18 its a steal. FSX is alot more detailed of a sim than I realized before getting this. Now I can fly a flight realisticlly instead of just buzzing skyscrapers and doing rolls in a 747. I give this book 5 stars for any flight simmer.
Oh yeah! I have that book. The cover and pages are pretty tattered at this point. Though I still feel as though I am in over my head. I think its a must have if your new to MSFS. Your right.. it is an incredibly in depth sim more than I had ever imagined. Can you only imagine if you were able to drop ordinance and dogfight???
You ever try flying on VATSIM?
